Campamento El Encuentro
Nestled in the serenity of the Honduran mountain town of Valle de Angeles, the camp was created with the goal of providing a source of renewal and encouragement for God’s people in the midst of a bustling and busy world. In the quiet surroundings of pine-covered mountains, it is place where the pressing concerns of life can be set aside for a while in order to re-focus on God and His purpose for our lives. The facilities of the camp are geared toward bringing Christians together for teaching, spiritual growth, and fellowship. Historically, the El Encuentro Camp has been used by churches for youth outreaches and for character development in young people. However, many groups, including churches, schools, and other educational organizations, now utilize the facilities for fellowship opportunities, camps, academic competitions, and more. The camp can accommodate groups as large as 500+ and includes kitchen and dining facilities, numerous bunk cabins, a basketball court, a soccer field, both indoor and outdoor amphitheaters, a zip line, and beautiful open space to walk and explore. As long time friends of the camp, BCAM helps with necessary upgrades, future planning, and general organization.
Manuel Nasralla and Campamento El Encuentro
Manuel Nasralla founded Campamento el Encuentro in 1978 with a vision to create a place where Christians from the busy city of Tegucigalpa could gather on weekends to enjoy fellowship with one another, pray together, and have moments of quiet and rest. With time, that vision expanded to include camps and conferences for Bible training and spiritual encouragement. Over the years, and with the assistance of two men in particular, David Dominguez and Danilo Ayala, various buildings and facilities were constructed, including cabins, a dining hall, a large chapel, soccer fields, a sports court, etc. Those projects have permitted the use of the camp for a variety of activities, from kids camps to pastor training, all focused on bringing others into fellowship with the Lord and brothers and sisters in Christ. To number the lives touched and changed through the years at the camp would be impossible. The Lord has truly blessed the vision of Manuel Nasralla, making the camp a place where God’s Name is praised and where His children grow in love and faith.

The camp is also home to four fully renovated properties perfect for small group rentals. With two houses and two apartments, you can find the perfect home away from home for a weekend getaway.
